Free Agency Rules

Welcome to the Offseason. Below are the rules and guidelines you must follow to make sure your bid is valid.
1. Max years signable = 4yrs. Max salary offered = 20mill
2. EVERY Team is allowed 13 roster spaces. ALL 13 must be filled to begin Season 2.
3. BE SMART with your bidding. BID WHEREVER you can. Chances are your first choice will not be on your roster Season 2. (Penalty if Roster is Short come S2, best player 5 games)
4. EVERY GM is allowed 1 MLE trade exception worth 6mill. This can be spread among 2 players. HOWEVER, you cannot stack offers with MLE money. Strictly, MLE or MLE/2 as an offer PERIOD.
4b. MLE is BONUS money. This will be considered a losing bid if someone else bids with money under the LG cap of 60. NO IFS ANDS OR BUTs.
4c. MLE is susceptible to PENALTY.
Scenario A: You are at 58mill. You want to sign player X for your full MLE at 2yr 6mill. Your new team salary is 64mill. PENALTY: Player X cannot play for 4 games. 4mill over LG CAP = 4 gm suspension .
Scenario B: You are at 68mill. (considered last to win a bid being over the cap already) you use HALF of your MLE 3mill to win the bid. Your new team salary is 71mill. That player cannot play for 11 games.
5. How to determine whose bid is the larger amount?
To bid higher than previous bidder. You must either:
A. Outbid through contract years. 3yr / 3 mill beats 2yr/ 3mill
B. Outbid through higher salary. 2yr/6mill beats 3yr 4mill.
IN Case of a TIE:
If there is a Tie. I will do a COIN FLIP. Unless one GM declines to decline that player. The other player wins.
3 way tie? Draw Name from a hat.
OR
Compare salaries. Who has the most VALID cap space open to spend.
6. BIDDING ENDS SUNDAY JAN 16 5PM WESTERN.
7. Technically some players have yet to player option until WEDNESDAY JAN 12 at 5PM WESTERN. If they claim these player(s). TOUGH LUCK. Find others. That player is now off the table.
8. 1 OFFSEASON TRADE made available. 1 TRADE 2 PLAYERS MAXIMUM. NO 3 way trades allowed Because I dont wanna blow my brains out.
***PREPARE TO SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES IF YOU GO OVER THE LEAGUE CAP OF 60 MILLION. MLE =6MILLION IS MERELY BONUS MONEY . NOT BONUS CAP SPACE.
**PLAYER SUSPENSIONS MUST BE DISHED OUT CONSECUTIVELY. MORE DETAILS TO COME.
*MAKE SURE TO MSG OTHERS REMINDING THEM TO STAY ACTIVE. IF THEY DO NOT SHOW IN THE BID AT LEAST ONCE. BIDS A BUST CUZ THEY SCREWED THEY TEAM. aka the replacement GM will not be HAPPY.
